Reinspection Surveys

Periodic inspections of previously identified asbestos-containing materials to monitor their condition and ensure the ongoing safety of building occupants.

As long as Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) have been identified and are in good condition, it is usually recommended that they are “managed in-situ”. This means that their presence is recorded within the site’s Asbestos Register, with building occupants and contractors being made aware of the ACMs present.

ACMs require periodical inspection to ensure they remain in good condition, lowering the risk of fibre release and asbestos exposure. If damage is observed, remedial measures will be required.

ASSET conduct Reinspection Surveys to review the condition of previously identified ACMs, to identify any required remedial works to ensure the ongoing safety of building occupants.

A Reinspection Survey Will Include

  • Inspection of the condition of all previously identified ACMs
  • Updated Asbestos Register, Material Risk Assessments, photos and floor plans
  • Confirmation of whether any changes in condition have occurred and any required remedial works

Regulatory Compliance

Reinspection Surveys ensure continued compliance with Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. The default frequency of reinspection is annually, although this may be more or less frequent depending on the risk of ACMs present.

Your Reinspection Survey report will include:

Updated Asbestos Register
Updated Material Risk Assessments
Updated Floor Plans
Photographic Records
Condition Assessment of All ACMs
Recommendations for Any Required Remedial Works
